Lawrence Psychological Services provides professional services for people who want to live skillfully, with less stress and more satisfaction. LPS is owned and operated by Rosa Lawrence, PhD, a licensed clinical psychologist in California.
Psychotherapy services at Lawrence Psychological are compassionate, culturally-sensitive, and based on proven methods to achieve relief from traumas, anxiety, stress, pain, obesity, and depression. Treatment techniques include psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, health behavior management, and EMDR. Our goal is to help you resolve problems and overcome obstacles to your fulfillment.
Evaluation services here are focused, thorough, and brief when appropriate. Testing services include:
- Psychodiagnostic. Helps you or your therapist identify specific problems and improves treatment planning.
- Intelligence, educational attainment, and cognitive functioning. Clarifies your level of functioning. Identifies strengths and areas of difficulty. Helps identify memory and learning impairments.
- Personality testing. Helps you and your therapist understand your characteristic approach to others, the way you think about yourself, and helps uncover potential barriers to life satisfaction. For a limited time only, Dr. Lawrence is offering personality testing at a 20% discount. Therapist inquiries are welcome.
- Pre-surgical evaluation. Dr. Lawrence offers standardized assessment for bariatric and back surgery candidates.
- Forensic assessments. This is a specialty area to assist attorneys and the courts with child custody and parental assessment cases, criminal competence and mental capacity, as well as civil cases involving psychological harm.
Fees and Insurance. Dr. Lawrence accepts several insurance carriers, including Anthem Blue Cross, Magellan, Blue Shield, TriCare/TriWest, Medicare, with and without supplemental coverage, as well as Victim–Witness Assistance and some Workers’ Comp.
